Coastal Fellowships programme

beach side

Alongside our GP roles, we are looking for five new fellows in coastal medicine. This is of particular need in many of our communities due to the 350-mile coastline.

As highlighted in Professor Chris Whitty’s annual report in 2021, coastal communities have some of the worst health and wellbeing outcomes. To view the KCC 2021 Public health report about Coastal Deprivation click here

Our Coastal Fellowships programme helps you develop your clinical research, academic skills and medical knowledge. These fellowship projects help improve care in marginalised, coastal areas of medicine in a range of ways. You will have the chance to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to clinical practice sessions within one of our coastal areas.

Funded for two years, these roles are supported with protected time for professional development and completing an academic project. For more information please click here
